DECA Personnel Standard (DECAPS sm)
SEC
is a "post-service only" organization comprised exclusively of veteran
government and military personnel with ten or more years of operational
experience. In 1988 we introduced the DECA Personnel Standard to ensure
the qualification and superior operational competence of SEC personnel.
At the time, no other private sector security organization in the world
maintained such a stringent personnel standard. DECAPS instituted a
personnel policy mandating a minimum of 10-years experience in military
or government service on the part of prospective SEC associates.
Today,
though a few security organizations have since adopted similar
standards, most have yet to implement such a crucial assurance of
personnel qualifications. DECAPS is another example of our
uncompromising commitment to providing the world's most qualified,
competent and effective security services.
SEC Employment ROE
Our
services target total client protection worldwide. Personnel
requirements for intelligence, counter-terrorism, data and physical
operations security, and international investigation specialists are
critical to our mission success. Operations and support groups share an
equally invaluable role in determining that success. Thus, preeminently
experienced professionals who are dedicated, knowledgeable, and highly
trained in their area(s) of expertise are indispensable.
Career
opportunities with SEC entail frequent travel and interaction with
client representatives throughout the United States and Canada, Latin
America and the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle
East. Some assignments may frequently involve operations in hazardous
or underdeveloped regions of the world. Permanent staff positions may
be offered to career associates with five or more years of continued
service with the company. Personnel limited to domestic travel due to
security restrictions resulting from previous employment with U.S.
federal government agencies may receive preference in consideration of
staff positions in CONUS until such travel restrictions expire.
Employment
with operations and support groups requires an in-depth Special
Background Investigation (SBI)* as well as TS/SCI clearances (or
ability to reinstate), polygraph, drug testing, physical requirements
and acceptance of strict, lifetime secrecy agreements. Additional
requirements may also apply.
*SBI is highly invasive with an average duration of 12 to 18 months.
Prospective associates must
possess a minimum of ten years experience in military or civilian
intelligence, U.S. Navy SEAL Teams, Special Forces, federal law
enforcement, or related operations support functions. Qualified foreign
personnel are also recruited. Additionally, a graduate degree is
required for prospective associates seeking management positions. SEC
recruits qualified personnel through confidential networks and sources
and does not accept unsolicited resumes.
